The 18th week of play in the L.S.B.L. was the final week of playoffs for all divisions. “Sweep” seemed to be the operative word in the playoffs. The Vets swept the Red Sox and claimed the Jackie Robinson Division Playoff Championship. They also were the regular season champions.

The Astros swept the Padres in the playoffs and claimed the Roberto Clemente Division Playoff Championship. They too were the regular season champions.

Lastly, the Expos swept their playoff series against the Angels to emerge the Jim Fanning Division playoff champions. They also won the regular season championship.

Congratulations to the Vets, the Astros and the Expos on a fine 2018 L.S.B.L. season. Lastly, congratulations to all the teams that comprised the L.S.B.L. this year.

All that remains now is the year-end party at Buffet Fu-Lam on September 29th. Hope to see all players and coaches there!! 2018 was a great season baseball wise and weather wise.
